Setting the parts for salvage is more impactful, in my opinion, because you'll have spare 'Mechs to sell less frequently. It affects random mission payouts, but buying/selling salvage is most of the economy. Having to spend a week or two being fitted with weapons for each new 'Mech also slows down you advancement (and puts a little pressure on your economy, but weapons are usually cheap).Įven with stingy C-Bills, the story missions will still offer great payouts. It controls whether 'Mechs you assemble with parts come with a loadout or empty. "Equipped 'Mechs" is a big difference too. A few people swear by it, but I can't say I enjoyed it when I did the related achievement.
